Some updates from the DFL Convention, which kicked off last night in Rochester- with a DFL endorsement for Senate at stake.
First, Planned Parenthood launched a broadside against Franken on Thursday over his 'Porn-O-Rama' article and the Sixty Minutes Debacle which also emerged this week.
More coverage on that here- again, the interesting question is, when is it satire and when is it inappopriate? And if you want to be a US Senator, where's that line? I personally think Franken has too many skeletons in his closet to win against Coleman in the fall. Yes, he does have the name recognition and probably the fundraising ability, but the broadsides are coming from Republicans and DFLers now and some of them are hitting home hard.
But I guess Al Gore doesn't mind, since he's endorsed Franken.
Amy Klobuchar and Howard Dean kicked things off with carefully crafted pleas for unity...
