Iowa Flood Update

Iowa is fast becoming the newest addition to the Great Lakes- an old joke from '93 that's going to prove even more apt in 2008, since the flooding is worse everywhere.

From Iowa City: mandatory evacuations possible, the Iowa River's not due to crest until June 20th- and there could be rain.

From Des Moines: Des Moines is getting hit hard- waters are rising faster than expected.

From Cedar Falls: a desperate struggle to save downtown Cedar Falls, which so far seems to working, thanks to armies of volunteers.

From Cedar Rapids: The latest coverage from the Gazette.
