Jesse Helms Died.

Today. At the age of 86- he's being remembered as a conservative icon and his supporters seem to be in awe of the fact he died on the 4th. The same day as Jefferson and Adams. Who died on the same day. Really, I'm not sure how I feel about that. I remember Jesse Helms as a particularly obnoxious and hardcore Republican. He also did such endearing things as opposing a holiday for Martin Luther King and was one of the old school, commie-hating Republicans from the Cold War era. But, he died. For more, go here.
