We headed out to Coralville as well via Rocky Shore Drive. CRANDIC Park is still flooded (those are the last images in this next set) and the Iowa River, as you can see is still running pretty full.
The lower end of the Coralville Strip is probably the most hardest hit area in Iowa City-Coralville. Whole lines of businesses from Rocky Shore Drive all the way down to the Sonic that's just past Randy's Carpets are out of commission. The Heartland Inn looks completely gutted, Hardees, Taco Bell, Lonestar Steakhouse, all out of commission. The clean up effort is huge. The first shot is off the strip mall next to the Heartland Inn- you may be able to see it on the far right, but that white sign that says 'Yummy's' was where Ali and I were planning on getting our wedding cake- when the wedding was in Iowa City. The next two shots are of the area out near the Marriot. There's still water on parts of Edgewater Drive and there's a lot of sandbags still out there.
Further upstream, you can see that the River is still running pretty high up in Iowa Falls as well.
